TIRE-DERIVED FUEL

A CLEANER, MORE EFFICIENT ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCE

WHAT IS
TIRE-DERIVED FUEL?

Tire-derived fuel is produced to burn as an alternative fuel source by reducing scrap tires into shreds, usually 1-3 inches. Tire-derived fuel is accepted by most environmental bodies as a feasible alternative to fossil fuels, providing the same amount of energy as oil and 25% more energy than coal. Tire-derived fuel generates less residue of moisture, sulfur, nitrogen and ash, resulting in lower emissions for the environment thus a lower carbon footprint.
